Parma Café is part of a larger shopping centre. The café’s design – from Andrew Waller – incorporates a large communal table in order to bring structure to the loose seating area. A second structured seating area wraps around the kiosk linking the two dining spaces. A strong overlay of materials, texture and form gives definition to the small space, while the colour palette of yellow highlights against a background of black, white and grey hints at Wollongong’s urban beachside location.
