MOOD DOG WORLD
Melbourne’s most anticipated launch is almost here with brothers and best mate Josh and Jake Uljans and Karl van Buuren set to open 12, 000 square-metre venue and 725-person capacity venue this Friday, 4th October 2019 from 4pm.
The team at the Chifley Drive, Preston site that is longer end-to-end than Melbourne’s Footy heartland the MCG is ready to welcome locals and visitors into to its one of a kind World.
The lagoon and rainforest walk are in and the waterfall is flowing. The urban jungle is flourishing and the tropical disco tiki bar is well hidden. The 72 tabs are ready to pour Old Mates and David Boysenberries and the kitchen is prepared for endless rotisseries, burger delights and classic Pavlovas.
Moon Dog World’s Damon Phillippakos (ex. Terminus Hotel, North Fitzroy) has had a lot of fun creating the food menu for Moon Dog World. “I’m very aware of the brand – Moon Dog is relaxed, it is not too serious but it is still all about maintaining 100% quality”, says Phillippakos.
There are three distinct menu offerings for the various experiences you can potentially have at Moon Dog World. There’s the sharing menu of Buffalo Cauliflower, Baby Corn Dogs, Chipotle Beef Short Ribs, Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder and Crispy Szechuan Eggplant with Toasted Sesame to name a few then there’s the tasty Burgers list including a Meatball Sub to a Plant Burger and Crispy Falafels plus Charcoal including Rotisserie Chicken with your choice of toping (gravy, spicy chilli oil or za’atar oil), Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw and Mash. Desserts are kept classic from brownies to Pavolas.
“I love the Corn Dogs! They fit in with the ‘world’ vibe and the Coleslaw together with the Lamb Shoulder is a great sharing option”, says Phillippakos.
Moon Dog World will have a brewing capacity of over 10 million litres annually but there is a not just beer on the menu. There will be wine on tap as well as classic Cocktails on tab and plenty more curated by Venue Manager Chris Hysted-Adams (ex. Black Pearl). “There’s something for everyone on the drinks menu, we have an Australia-only wine list plus brewery exclusives”, says Hysted-Adams.
“Moon Dog World was born out of a desire to create a one-of-a-kind environment where people of all ages can have fun, eat, drink and enjoy each other’s company”, says Co-Owner and Managing Director Josh Uljans. “The team have worked incredibly hard to deliver Melbourne something special and we cannot wait to open the doors this month!”
The Mon Dog ethos is to have fun and not take life too seriously and so Moon Dog World reflects this foundation completely. It is a continuation of the ingrained fun that the Moon Dog brand and its people bring so let the good times roll at Moon Dog World.
